The Assassin's Creed series has a diverse category of games with different settings and gameplay. The classic playstyle and fighting mechanics of Assassin's Creed flows effortlessly aboard some of the dangerous Caribbean armadas. The narrative progresses with Edward slowly building up a pirating empire thanks to missions like robbing island plantations and plundering enemy ships.
So, going through missions centered around traveling through a diverse cluster of islands adds a lot to the story in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. This is perhaps best evidenced with the recent success of Sea of Thieves' Pirates of the Caribbean crossover. Sailing the Caribbean as a pirate has been a dream for many since Jack Sparrow captivated audiences in Pirates of The Caribbean. Black Flag Proves Assassin's Creed Is Best Played On The Seas Outside of the Animus, the story progresses inside of Abstrego and even finishes the game with an unexpected betrayal from a fellow employee, but the best of Assassin Creed: Black Flag's storytelling is told on the seas. This captivating start was just the beginning of many twists, turns, and crossings that Edward and the user faced. By taking the assassin's place, Edward starts the story with a mystery regarding his true allegiance. He is an outsider that comes into the story in a dark way: by killing an assassin. Most of the game's plot revolves around exploring an open world of plentiful islands at the helm of a sturdy ship, but pirating and sailing is only part of what makes the story so engaging. Assassin's Creed: Black Flag took this mechanic and expanded upon it by making the entire outside world a part of the game and story. For the first time, the outdoors were opened to exploration.

Becoming a pirate in the Caribbean did not seem like a likely plot point within the series with the previous stories, but after the tales of Desmond Miles and Ezio were ended, Black Flag introduced a new chapter in the best way possible.Īssassin's Creed III introduced a more open way to play the series. The previous games had fairly linear and restraining stories, but that changed when the series took to the seas. Prior to Black Flag, the settings for the Assassin's Creed games had been mainly contained within the walls of different European cities.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is just one in a series of great games, but it may have the best story.
